Ok Girls, Every few years we need a new chick flick movie to watch. "P.S. I love You" rises to the challenge. It's comprable to such chick flicks as "Serendipity, The Notebook, and Fried Green Tomatoes with it's funny characters, unbelievable but believable story lines and good old fashion ball your eyes out moments. You'll laugh out-loud, cry silently, and smile often. This unusual love story about moving on is a must see.

Good Luck Chuck
Kathy and I watched "Good Luck Chuck" last night. It was very funny, charming, and sweet all in one. Not a movie for the kiddies since there is a lot of nudity, but fun for the adults. The story is about Chuck who has a hex put on him that no woman willl ever fall in love with him, but the next man they meet will be the man of their dreams. The rumor spreads rapidly when he is older and woman are lining up at his door to sleep with him in hopes of finding true love. Chuck takes advantage of this for awhile until he meets Cam played by Jessica Alba. From there on the story takes a dramatic turn for love and is filled with Alba's physical comedy. All in all I thought it was great fun and had me laughing out loud.

Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
I finished this book Thursday evening. I have to say, it was long, nearly 550 pages. Some phases of the book were really good, others were a little far fetched... the ending left me feeling like something was missing, it did come to closure, but.....
So, it is an epic novel, spans three generations of family. The historical descriptions and references were very interesting, I wonder how accurate they are. I'd be happy to pass this one along if you want to read it.

I don't know if anyone has ready any books by Janet Evonovich but she writes about this female bounty hunter named Stephanie Plum and they are absolutely hilarious. I have read numbers 1-13 I am to cheap to buy the hard back copy of number 14 but let me tell you, I couldn't put an of them down they were fantastic!! I recommend all of them so far definite easy read to for people who don't have a whole lot of time.
Stardust
Need a break from reality? An all-star cast leads this romp into a world where falling stars are beautiful women and everyone wants a piece of them. Somewhere between a chick flick and a family movie (PG-13 for fantasy violence), this is a must see if for no other reason than to watch Robert DiNiro play a cross-dressing sea captain. And for our vanity...Michelle Pheiffer actually aging! Part love story, adventure and comedy with a true happy ending, we were pleastantly surprised by this one.
